Side note: You little tackle-whore you!. The sweetest quiver of custom wrapped, matching, rods and reels to ever grace a kayak, Josh. Now that you've switched to the newer Trini's--- I'm surprised I haven't seen a new set of custom wrapped rods to match! |

oh don't you worry... those trini's are right at home... all three of those rods are new custom Phenix blanks... I can't help it... it's an addiction... and the hybrid 927 is the shortest of the three at 9' 2"... the other two are 966 and 967 at 9'-6" long... super fun to fish with... some guy once told me long rods do belong on the kayak... he was right! I feel like an 8 footer is short now! the next one I want is the 20A... it will fit nicely on my 100j... just have to find some more work first! |
:reel:nice fish gr8 day for you.

Nice post, I love this picture!!!
After further inspection I noticed the bait tank sitting backwards....then i noticed the tanks drain dumping right into the open hatch where the bait tank should sit. I dont know who Frank is but, Frank, turn that tank around and strap it down so it seals the inside of the yak and cannot fall out if you ever flip also modify the drain so it in not constantly dumping on the hatch seal. still an awesome pic! |
There is a reason for his madness...it does not fit cause of the hinge in the 2010 models ...the tank came from my older x-factor..
|
IM frank, the big half Mexican with an xfactor. Erick is right. The bait tAnk doesn't fit in the rear hatch and I do not want in there because in case of a flip it will take in so much water. I use the rear hatch as my battery holder for my bait tank and my gps ff. I put my batteries in a dry bag and put it on the red bag on the rear hatch. I then hAve pump to pull water up and there should be a hose to dump it out but I forgOt that hose thAt day and just had the water dumping in the scupper hole. The bait tank run on a 6 volt battery so no timer is needEd. The bait is strapped down along with everything else
